Job summary

Programmers.io in Dearborn, MI is seeking an Automation Python Engineer for onsite work. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python, and build test suites with pytest across integration and functional tests.

You will integrate AI/LLM tools to accelerate test case generation, log analysis, and defect triage. Collaborate with ADAS and infotainment domain teams, analyze results to root cause defects, and maintain comprehensive test documentation and coverage

Qualifications

• Strong Python-based automation testing experience.
• Proficient with pytest or similar frameworks.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM tools to accelerate testing workflows.
• Familiarity with automotive domains and ADAS/infotainment systems.
• Knowledge of ECU testing and vehicle architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and Python scripts.
• Build and run test suites using pytest for integration and functional testing.
• Integrate AI/LLM tools to speed test case generation, log analysis, and triage.
• Collaborate with automotive domain teams to understand test requirements.
• Analyze results, identify root causes, and coordinate with engineers to resolve defects.
• Maintain test documentation, coverage reports, and traceability matrices.
• Possess understanding of Vehicle Architectures (Conventional, EV, Hybrid) and ECUs.
• Support manual testing and automation script execution as needed.
• Work with DSPACE HIL environments and ECU test automation.
