Job summary

Wipro is seeking an Automation Engineer (Python) in Dearborn, MI, to design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites onsite. You will work with automotive infotainment and ADAS domains, integrate AI tools to enhance test generation and log analysis, and collaborate with lab teams to resolve defects.

The role requires 5–8 years of Python development and test automation experience, with knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet networks and software testing methodologies.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of professional Python development and test automation.
• Experience in Automotive infotainment, ADAS, telematics or EV/HEV systems, vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Practical experience with AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/LLMs, AI-based test generation or log‑analysis tools) to improve productivity, test coverage, or defect detection.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, integration).
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Automation Engineer Responsibilities

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
