Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific's Global Central Laboratory in Highland Heights, KY is seeking an Associate Metrologist to support maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments, ensure accurate operation, and assist in troubleshooting. You will perform scheduled calibrations (IQ/OQ/PQ), install new instrumentation, follow vendor documentation, and address audits.

The role requires a high school diploma, relevant technical certification, and about two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
• Technical positions may require a certificate.
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled routine maintenance on active instrumentation and equipment.
• Perform scheduled calibrations/qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ) on active instrumentation and equipment.
• Perform remedial maintenance on active instrumentation and equipment.
• Provide installation oversight of new laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Follow vendor documentation relating to PM, calibration/qualification and repairs.
• Address audits on laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Evaluate lab support records for compliance with SOPs and report findings.
