Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an assembler for first shift in Southern Pines, NC. You will perform varied assembly tasks ensuring parts fit correctly and meet quality standards, with emphasis on precision from manuals and drawings.

The role requires high school completion, at least one year in manufacturing, and strong manual dexterity. You will follow ISO procedures, operate presses, and maintain a clean, safe workspace onsite.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read print drawings and follow assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read print drawings to determine dimensions, design, and materials.
• Assemble parts following work orders and drawings.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners per torque specs.
• Operate pneumatic and manual presses to assist assembly.
• Set up and operate identification equipment (stampers, labelers).
• Test product for compliance using manual and automatic test equipment.
• Paint, label and pack completed product for shipment.
• Maintain production quality and productivity levels daily.
• Follow ISO procedures and site safety rules (PPE required).
• Report malfunctions and supply needs to the Team Lead.
• Handle products to/from stock and manage material flow.
• Perform in-process testing and correct issues per PFQ.
• Notify team lead of non-conformance material.
• Record changes in work orders and BOMs to team lead.
• Complete daily hour-by-hour production sheet.
• Maintain 5S in the work area.
• Identify safety issues and participate in safety training.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
