Job summary

OPW, a Dover company, is hiring an Assembler in Hamilton, OH to perform routine assembly of electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies, following drawings and instructions. You will use pneumatic tools, test assemblies, and maintain safe work practices in a team environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and four years of relevant experience, ability to lift up to 30 lbs, color vision, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years relevant work experience.
• Distinguish colors for color-coding purposes.
• Meet daily production rates and goals.
• Ability to work overtime to accommodate production.
• Proficiency in English communication (verbal and written).
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and tolerate physical tasks.
• Wear required PPE (steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, etc.).
• Enter transactions in Oracle accurately.
• This position is based in the Knappco facility in Hamilton, OH.

Responsibilities

• Ability to assemble a variety of routine electrical and/or mechanical products.
• Read and understand standard work rules, follow production drawings.
• Complete repetitive processes maintaining quality and safety.
• Use required tools and equipment in the assigned area.
• Tap, drill, ream, shim, grind, test to achieve proper fit.
• Perform force fitting or fastening to meet quality standards.
• Solder, crimp, stake, screw or press-fit components to secure parts.
• Identify faulty parts during assembly or testing.
• Perform wire cutting, stripping and simple cable operations.
• Use hand tools, soldering iron, gauges and mass flow tester.
• Participate in quality assurance procedures and safety practices.
• Interact with chemicals and potting materials safely.
• Conduct functional tests per procedures and maintain test equipment.
