Sunbelt Staffing in Illinois is seeking an onsite Sign Language Interpreter to support students for a full school year near South Holland.

This contract role requires a valid PEL with LBS1 Endorsement, strong ASL skills, and the ability to work across multiple grade levels and sites. You will collaborate with teachers and specialists to ensure equal access to instruction.

Formación

• Valid PEL license with LBS1 Endorsement required by the state.
• Prior experience as a school sign language interpreter preferred.
• Strong ASL proficiency and ability to facilitate communication.
• On-site availability and flexibility across grades and sites.
• Passion for supporting diverse learners and collaboration with educational teams.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver sign language interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring equal access to classroom instruction, activities, and discussions.
• Serve students across grade levels within the assigned satellite program and/or partner schools (specific sites to be determined).
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and staff to address student needs and enhance educational outcomes.
• Maintain ethical standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Support student engagement in both academic and social settings.
