Job summary

UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs is seeking an on-site anesthesia support technician to assist licensed providers with care and monitoring of patients and equipment. The role covers setting up and sterilizing anesthesia equipment, monitoring patients, assisting with airway management, and maintaining supplies.

It is full-time, evenings, onsite, with pay between $20.26 and $26.34 per hour and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum 6 months healthcare experience.
• BLS card must be valid through start date.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sterilizes and sets up all types of anesthesia equipment.
• Assists anesthesia provider with monitoring, transport, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management.
• Provides daily maintenance of all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Maintains a sufficient inventory of all equipment and supplies.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
