Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mid-level Air Quality Scientist III to join our EHS & Air team in Beaumont, TX. The role involves field and laboratory work supporting air quality projects, monitoring networks, data collection, and client interaction as needed.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining air measurement instrumentation outdoors, maintaining records, and performing calculations under supervision. Independent work and strong safety discipline are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or related field.
• 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in air quality compliance and in maintaining/repairing electronic instrumentation.
• A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check in accordance with company policy.
• Due to the nature of this role, U.S Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks in support of air quality project staff and operation of several air quality monitoring networks.
• Work outdoors at multiple client locations to install, maintain, and repair air measurement instrumentation.
• May gather and maintain specified records of scientific data for supervisors, including but not limited to environmental sampling, operations and maintenance and inspections at client sites.
• Other activities may include assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation.
• Collect and enter data and apply technical principles and theories under supervision.
• Must be able to work independently.
• May occasionally interface with clients.
