Job summary

Emcore Corporation in Concord, CA is seeking a Quality Engineer to strengthen supplier quality, internal audits, and AS9100 compliance within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. You will partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive process improvements on the factory floor.

The role is 100% onsite, with travel <10% as needed and requires hands-on problem solving, strong GD&T and RCCA skills, and a commitment to quality across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or related field.
• 3–5 years of quality engineering in manufacturing or regulated industry.
• Foundational knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with supplier quality activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality activities including supplier evaluations, audits, and corrective actions.
• Conduct RCCA and root cause analysis with suppliers to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain internal audit schedule and ensure AS9100 compliance.
• Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and manufacturing quality on the floor.
• Track quality metrics and support continuous improvement.
• Assist MRB activities and supplier performance.
