Job summary

SolomonEdwards is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Dalton, Georgia team. This hands-on role will supervise month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger activity, with on-site work Monday through Friday in Dalton.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, 2–3+ years of senior accounting or manager experience, and a solid grasp of GAAP, controls, and financial analysis to support budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 2-3+ years of Senior Accountant and/or Accounting Manager experience.
• Hands-on experience managing or supporting month-end close.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and complete general ledger records.
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities as needed.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Improve accounting processes, procedures, internal controls, efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
