Job summary

AIM – the Aviation Institute of Maintenance – seeks experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians and AMTs to join our team as instructors. This onsite role delivers FAA Part 147-aligned training and hands-on instruction to students preparing for aircraft maintenance careers.

No prior teaching experience required; a 5-day paid instructor training program is provided. Ideal candidates have hands-on aviation maintenance experience, strong mentoring abilities, and a commitment to student success

Qualifications

• Hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
• Ability to mentor and train students
• Comfortable in a structured, compliance-driven teaching setting

Responsibilities

• Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques hands-on
• Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum for A&P certification prep
• Demonstrate practical skills used by AMTs and aviation technicians
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student progress records
• Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership
• Create a structured, engaging, safety-focused learning environment
