Job summary

Alight Solutions in Lewisville, TX is seeking a hands-on Finishing Operator to support the production and finishing of printed materials. You will help ensure quality, efficiency, and timely delivery to clients while operating finishing equipment and performing basic maintenance.

The role requires experience with production equipment, basic computer skills, and the ability to work 12:00–20:30 CT. You’ll collaborate in a team, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain safety and accuracy across jobs.

Qualifications

• Transferable production, manufacturing, or equipment operation experience.
• Basic computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, and production systems.
• Ability to work 2nd shift (12:00–20:30 CT).
• Operator-level troubleshooting and basic repairs on mechanical systems.
• Ability to learn new equipment and processes quickly.
• Prioritize work, adapt to changing needs, and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate accountability, integrity, and professionalism.
• Adapt to varying production assignments and operational requirements.
• Stand and move during shift; lift up to 40 pounds; overtime during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-speed finishing equipment including setup, production, finishing, reconciliation, and basic maintenance.
• Work with stitcher/bindery machines, printers, folders, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and maximize uptime with technicians.
• Execute job setup and production planning to meet delivery requirements.
• Identify and resolve production risks and operational challenges.
• Review work for accuracy and address discrepancies via problem-solving.
• Maintain accurate production, equipment, and service records.
• Follow instructions, work orders, and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and maintain professionalism.
• Support a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Adhere to attendance and scheduling expectations to meet goals.
