Job summary

Murphy Oil Corporation seeks an Associate Cost Analyst for Onshore Operations to support the monthly OPEX outlook, coordinate data, and drive accurate financial planning. You will work with Operations, Accounting and MIS, using SAP and related tools to ensure timely, reliable outlooks and performance analysis.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business/Engineering and 3+ years of oil and gas cost analysis, with strong Excel, Hyperion, and Spotfire proficiency. Onsite in Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ oil and gas cost analysis experience.
• Proficiency with SAP and cost-management tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepares financial performance reports for management and associated analysis.
• Performs financial analysis of key business initiatives and strategic objectives.
• Supports budgeting, forecasting, long range planning and variance review activities.
• Coordinate with field personnel to ensure accurate data entry.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP systems and processes to ensure business needs are fulfilled.
• Manage and track all group/team KPI’s as required.
• Identify and perform gap analysis on variations between actuals versus budgets to advise internal clients accordingly.
