Job summary

Rutgers University-Newark invites applications for a Winter 2027 Instructor position in the undergraduate program within the School of Criminal Justice.

The successful candidate will develop and instruct undergraduate courses such as Comparative Criminal Justice or Topics in Contemporary & Emerging Issues in Criminal Justice: Justice Impacted Communities, reporting to the Dean and delivering asynchronous online instruction.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level.
• Applicants with comparable degrees from accredited institutions may also be considered.
• Prior teaching is also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and instruct undergraduate courses in the School of Criminal Justice.
• Prepare and submit course syllabi, provide timely student feedback, and respond to student emails.
• Instruct asynchronously online during the Winter Session and adhere to grade submission policies and deadlines.
