Clear Credential: $79,500.00 - $100,700.00 / year

Preliminary Credential: $68,900 / year

Intern Credential: $66,144 / year

How You Will Make An Impact

Teaching in an online personalized instructional environment, working with students and/or parents to determine and evaluate student academic plan.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Meet California Teaching Standards/HQT/NCLB Compliance
• Adhere to attendance policies
• Maintain accurate records per California Department of Education and auditors
• Assign individualized courses of study to students
• Monitor and document student progress in Report Writer
• Monitor students' credit completion
• Communicate weekly with students and parents via phone and messages
• Grade student work within 24-48 hours of submission
• Provide written feedback on all assignments
• Post motivating blogs in each course to encourage participation
• Manage discussion boards to promote engagement and learning
• Meet weekly expectations as outlined in training
• Be available during student appointments
• Assist students in finding additional resources as needed
• Administer Lets Go Learn Assessments within the first month and update every six months
• Refer students to additional support services when appropriate
• Schedule and conduct monthly student meetings
• Review and evaluate homework submissions
• Administer and grade tests, record scores
• Keep student work organized and neat
• Close student folders at the end of learning periods or upon withdrawal/graduation
• Record daily attendance
• Refer students to core teachers when necessary
• Teach scheduled labs with approved curriculum
• Participate in or lead extracurricular activities
• Develop yearly academic plans aligned with CST
• Complete report cards after each semester or upon withdrawal/graduation
• Attend graduation ceremonies
• Participate in mandated testing and curriculum development
• Attend staff meetings and professional development
• Interact professionally with all personnel
• Maintain availability during school hours
• Minimum 30 hours/week, 12 months/year

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid California Teaching Credential; English Learner Authorization required
• At least 2 years of full-time high school teaching experience
• Experience in online teaching environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Knowledge of various educational programs and standard office software

Physical Requirements:

• High workflow and project coordination demands
• Typing, communication, and visual acuity requirements
• Sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in noisy environments
