Job summary

Stride's TVAH seeks a passionate High School IDEA Special Education teacher for 2025/2026. You will be the teacher of record for self-contained and ALT students, delivering instruction in a virtual setting and monitoring progress toward IEP goals.

Texas Special Education certification is required; ESL certification preferred. You will collaborate with parents and general education staff, document services, and ensure compliance with state requirements.

Qualifications

• Texas Special Education certification is required or preferred.
• Experience creating and managing IEPs and related compliance documentation.
• Experience with progress monitoring and data-driven instruction.
• Proficient in data analysis and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for in-person testing and PD.
• Ability to work with self-contained and ALT student populations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage IEPs, progress reports, and state-required documentation.
• Provide rich, engaging online instruction for self-contained and ALT students.
• Collaborate with parents and general education teachers to support student needs.
• Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and maintain service logs.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.
• Maintain strong communication with families and learning coaches/parents.
