Job summary

Wingate University is seeking a part-time adjunct to join the Thayer School of Education. The role is primarily asynchronous online with some live evening Zoom instruction.

Ideal candidates hold a master's in History or Social Studies with teaching experience; familiarity with Canvas and other e-learning tools is preferred. The position offers remote work and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in History or Social Studies.
• Teaching experience at K-12 or college level.
• Experience with online learning tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare graduate students in teacher education programs to become effective practitioners and researchers in the field of education by teaching and modeling current evidence-based practices
• Provide students with clear, timely, and specific communication and feedback
• Hold regular, predictable virtual office hours
• Alignment with University mission, vision, and strategic roadmap
• Other job duties/responsibilities may be assigned
