Job summary

The Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Binghamton University invites applications for a full-time ranked 10-month clinical instructor to support the online RN-to-BS program. Requirements include a Master’s in Nursing or Nursing Education and a NY nursing license, with experience in online course development and delivery.

Qualifications

Master's degree (or higher) in Nursing or Nursing Education.
Unencumbered NY Nursing License or ability to obtain before starting.
At least 2 years online teaching experience with RN-to-BS students or related degrees.
Experience using a Learning Management System (Brightspace or Canvas).
Proficient with email, word processing, and Google Workspace.
Subject matter expert in courses such as pathophysiology, pharmacology, population health, research, and nursing leadership.
Preferred: Brightspace (D2L) experience.

Responsibilities

Teaching asynchronous online courses as course lead/coordinator for 2-3 courses per semester.
Teaching 12-16 credits per academic year.
Participating in curriculum committee discussions for the online RN-to-BS program.
Completing end-of-course reports as part of quality management.
Demonstrating RSI with weekly instructor-initiated, outcomes-aligned engagement.
Providing academic advising and mentoring to RN-to-BS students.
Maintaining Gen Ed designations on selected courses.
