Qualifications:

• Must be appropriately certified to serve as a Secondary Teacher of Record for Online/Computer-Based Instruction, per Michigan certification law, including endorsements in corresponding grade-level(s) and content-area(s) of students served.
• Must hold a teaching certificate or teaching permit that is endorsed in the subject area of the course.
• Must have a personnel identification code provided by the Center for Educational Performance and Information.
• Must be familiar with and skilled at working in computer-based content-delivery platforms and the developmental needs of students participating in remote learning.
• Be employed by the district, as applicable under Section 1231 of the Revised School Code (MCL 380.1231).

Job Description:

• Serves as the second point-of-contact for students; the program's mentor teacher will facilitate when and how the TOR is needed for support.
• Sends an introductory email to students with contact information.
• Checks school email, messages, and responds daily if needed.
• Helps adjust and/or develop academic content as needed in the Paw Paw online learning platform.
• Grades coursework and provides appropriate feedback.
• Maintains accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
• Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and the community.

Salary/Benefits: Per PPEA Contract – Schedule B
