Position Overview

An Online Adjunct Instructor teaches courses in accordance with STLCC curriculum standards, fostering an engaging online learning environment and supporting student success.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the department to select texts and prepare course materials.
2. Provide students with a college-approved syllabus.
3. Deliver content via the learning management system using diverse teaching methods.
4. Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
5. Maintain records and complete required reports.
6. Participate in training and college meetings, including online teaching certification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in biological sciences or related discipline with 18 graduate credits in biological sciences.
• Experience with Canvas LMS and online teaching preferred.
• Minimum three years of online teaching experience, with at least 36 credit hours of fully online instruction.
• Certification in Quality Matters is a plus.
