Job summary

Ohio Connections Academy is seeking an Adjunct Teacher to manage Family and Consumer Science programs remotely from Ohio. Compensation will be based on workload and enrolled students, with responsibilities including progress monitoring, guidance, and online instruction for middle school students.

The role requires Ohio teaching certification, strong tech skills, and excellent communication. Candidates should be flexible, customer-focused, and capable of working with learning coaches and families

Qualifications

• Ohio teaching certification required or equivalent credentials.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach with high flexibility and teamwork.
• Experience with online instruction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with parents/learning coaches, students and other teachers via phone, WebMail, asynchronous discussions, and conferences.
• Instruct students, monitor work, provide feedback, and suggest instructional strategies.
• Monitor completion of assignments in the subject area.
• Score assessments and projects in the subject area.
• Conduct online tutorial and instructional sessions for students using online conferencing tools.
• Develop a detailed knowledge of the curriculum for which responsible as subject expert.
• Provide support to struggling students and parents with alternative strategies and assistance.
• Attend required trainings and orientation sessions throughout the year.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
