Job summary

Goodwill West Texas is seeking a detail‑minded team member to identify, photo, describe and list donated products for online sales. You will inspect condition, determine criteria and prepare descriptions to maximize listing accuracy and profits.

No prior experience is required, but knowledge of jewelry or antiques and basic computer research skills are helpful. The role involves lifting, standing, and moving items, with duties spanning intake, sorting, inventory, and customer inquiries.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of merchandise value such as jewelry, musical instruments, antiques, etc.
• Ability to research utilizing computer databases
• Must be able to follow directions
• Must be able to recognize numbers
• Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 30 lbs
• Standing, bending, stooping, twisting and walking required

Responsibilities

• Sort and process merchandise into appropriate locations.
• Receive, sort and place materials or items on pre-production inventory shelving.
• Assist in managing overall inventory and inventory data sheets.
• Maintain system for record keeping and tracking data as required by supervisor.
• Receive and process items in a timely manner.
• Visually inspect and separate items by category.
• Create a detailed description of item for posting online.
• Photograph each item for listing.
• Post item for sale.
• Categorize merchandise in appropriate storage area.
• Respond to inquiries about listings.
• Keep area clean and clear of hazards.
• Adhere to and enforce all company policies, procedures and practices.
• Assist other departments as needed
• Suggest changes to increase efficiency of department.
• Perform other duties as assigned
