Overview

Online Learning Manager, HYBRID

Who We Are: Founded in 1907, the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) serves as the national forum for attorneys general and their staff to collaboratively address issues important to their work and provides resources to support the work of the offices of attorneys general in protecting the Rule of Law and the United States Constitution. NAAG fosters an environment of “cooperative leadership,” helping attorneys general respond effectively – individually and collectively – to emerging state and federal issues. NAAG emphasizes a commitment to professional excellence and the quality of life for our employees. NAAG provides innovative, legal skills training and resources to support the evolving needs of attorney general offices. NAAG delivers training courses in various formats: in person and online, live and on-demand, utilizing both experiential (learn-by-doing) and instructional learning. We are looking for an Online Learning Manager (OLM) to join our team.

The Job Brief: The OLM will take the lead in designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective online courses. It is important to note that this role does not involve managing a team; you will be the sole driver and developer of all online learning projects, collaborating closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) for content creation and acquisition, and key stakeholders to deliver exceptional learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of online learning best practices and experience designing, developing, and delivering engaging and effective online courses. The online learning manager will report to the chief marketing and technology officer.

A Typical Day: Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement engaging and effective online courses from initial planning and design to final delivery.
  • Manage video production studio and projects, including maintaining equipment, recording and directing video shoots, and post-production editing.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure course content is accurate, engaging, and delivered effectively.
  • In collaboration with the Director, develop project schedules, budgets, and timelines for course development and delivery.
  • Ensure all online courses adhere to quality standards and best practices for online learning.
  • Work with the Communications department to promote online courses to our membership and external clients.
  • Analyze course evaluations and other feedback to improve course content and delivery continuously. Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in online learning and educational technology.
  • Develop and deliver training for instructors and other staff on best practices for online course development and delivery.
  • Develop and manage relationships with vendors and external partners to support online course development and delivery.

Is This You?

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering engaging and effective online courses.
  • Strong proficiency in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Lectora.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, and other video and sound editing software.
  • Knowledge of online learning best practices and instructional design principles.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Understanding adult learning principles and learning theory.
  • Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and standards, including ADA compliance.

Location: NAAG is headquartered in Washington, D.C.

Terrific Total Compensation Package:

  • Salary range $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 and is commensurate with experience
  • NAAG offers a generous benefits package which includes paid time off, health, dental, vision, life/disability, long-term care, and 401k retirement plan
