Job summary

The University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business Online Development seeks an Instructional Designer to update and improve online and hybrid courses. You will collaborate with faculty to design content, storyboard modules, and ensure instructional quality using technology-based resources.

Responsibilities include managing projects, developing measurable learning objectives, and applying instructional design theories while ensuring WCAG/UDL accessibility and engaging learning experiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) + 2 years of related work experience or Master’s degree (or equivalency).
  • Equivalent substitution: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with faculty to design and improve courses based on learning goals and student needs.
  • Collaborate with faculty to outline, organize, and storyboard content for online and hybrid formats.
  • Manage instructional design projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely delivery.
  • Support faculty in creating measurable learning objectives aligned with assessments.
