Job summary

Roane State Community College in Tennessee seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Fire Science online using D2L Brightspace and in person on the Oak Ridge and Knoxville - Hayfield campuses.

Responsibilities include instruction, student engagement, assessment, and timely feedback, with adherence to college policies. Courses may occur in the evenings or weekends at multiple sites, ensuring accessibility for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in fire science or related field.
• Valid Tennessee Fire Commission – Fire Instructor II Certification Academy Credentialed Instructor (ACI) in Introduction to Fire and Emergency Services and Basic Firefighting.
• Successful completion of the TN Fire Commission FO120-Conducting Live Fire Evolutions Class.
• Be familiar with IAFC/NFPS 1010.
