Join a forward-thinking organization dedicated to facilitating online learning for students worldwide. As an experienced IB Language A teacher, you will play a crucial role in guiding students through their studies in a flexible and supportive environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse learners, fostering inclusion and representation in education. With a commitment to quality teaching and student engagement, you will help shape the educational journey of students from various backgrounds. If you are passionate about education and eager to make a difference, this role is perfect for you.
Edvectus is delighted to partner with Pamoja Education to lead their recruitment of qualified Educators who will be facilitating learning online with students globally. Pamoja is the first and only IB approved course provider for online delivery. We seek experienced IB SSST Language A teachers who have delivered their courses in the following languages: Dutch, Danish and Cantonese.
Pamoja offers IB Diploma Programme (DP) courses online to students around the world, in partnership with schools. Students remain enrolled at their own schools but complete their IB subjects through our digital platform, supported by experienced teachers and supervisors like yourself. While the delivery is fully online, students benefit from structure, support, and global connection — one of the most rewarding aspects of the role is seeing students from different countries and backgrounds learning alongside one another.
Pamoja are deeply committed to supporting access to IB languages and believe strongly in inclusion and representation. The SSST course is a key part of that mission — it allows students to study literature in their mother tongue, even when it’s not offered at their school.
Because our courses are pre-written by experienced IB teachers/workshop leaders, you will facilitate and help students through their course, rather than be required to create daily/weekly lessons. Our courses are designed to be flexible and mostly asynchronous, which works well for our teachers who also work in face-to-face schools. We do ask that teachers log in regularly (around five days a week) and aim to reply to student messages within 48 hours. For the SSST course, students are expected to check-in/meet with their teacher every three to four weeks. These check-ins can be planned as lessons and scheduled around your availability.
Your role would be to facilitate student progress online over the course of two academic years. On average, the role will require approximately 6 hours per week depending on student numbers; groups are small, with no more than 10 students per class.
Requirements:
We are seeking highly experienced IBDP Teachers with experience of supporting students completing IB Language A SSST (School supported self taught) courses. Alongside the following criteria you MUST be able to facilitate this course in the following languages: Dutch, Danish or Cantonese.
1. Educated to a minimum of degree level, or equivalent, with an appropriate teaching qualification
2. Has completed a full two-year IB DP cycle within the last three years
3. Those who have additional experience (IB examiners in their subject, Extended Essay supervisors for example) are particularly welcome to apply
4. Is able to confidently use Microsoft Office and its associated programmes

6. Strong technical skills
