Online IB DP French B HL/SL and IB DP French ab initio Teacher (Part-Time)

Position Overview

Dwight Global Online School, recently named the #2 best online high school in the United States by Newsweek, seeks an experienced IB DP French Teacher to teach virtual classes. Classes begin in September 2025, with summer preparation starting in June 2025.

The ideal candidate is flexible, innovative, and passionate about inspiring online students worldwide. This position is remote; teachers should be available for synchronous classes during morning or evening Eastern Time.

Responsibilities

1. Develop an engaging virtual classroom environment aligned with the DP curriculum.
2. Guide students in French language skills and content as part of the Dwight learning community.
3. Support students' development of ATL skills throughout the program.
4. Build relationships to foster personal and academic growth.
5. Teach critical thinking and analysis within the DP French curriculum.
6. Collaborate with colleagues on program development, student wellness, and professional growth.
7. Follow IB curricular and assessment standards.
8. Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in teaching practices.
9. Support IB Core components: TOK, CAS, and Extended Essays.

Qualifications

1. Passion for teaching and commitment to IB philosophy.
2. At least 5 years of full-time high school French teaching experience.
3. Ability to teach students of varying skill levels.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
5. Experience integrating technology into curricula.
6. IB Diploma Program experience required.
7. Experience with online teaching and assessment, including IB exams preferred.
