The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer I in the Department of Health and Biomedical Sciences, to begin in the 2027-2028 academic year. The role involves delivering graduate health science courses in the MS in Health Sciences program, including healthcare informatics, in an accelerated online format.

The successful candidate will teach, develop courses, assess student learning, mentor graduates, and contribute to curriculum

Qualifications

• Earned doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution in health informatics, biomedical informatics, nursing informatics, or health information management.
• Demonstrated ability to teach graduate-level health informatics courses and at least one year of teaching experience in a related field.
• Familiarity with program assessment, accreditation processes, and online course development may be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality instruction in an accelerated online format.
• Develop and update courses to reflect current professional standards.
• Assess student learning and mentor graduate students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, accreditation-related activities, and departmental and university service.
