Merrimack College’s School of Nursing and Health Sciences invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor to teach Epidemiology for Advanced Nursing Practice (NUR 5220) in our fully online MSN program. We seek a nurse educator with epidemiology, population health, and data‑driven health improvement experience.
The successful candidate will join a growing graduate program dedicated to preparing advanced nursing professionals in Population Health through evidence‑based, practice‑focused learning
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) is required.
- Active, unencumbered US RN license with eligibility for Massachusetts licensure before Spring 2027.
- Graduate-level expertise in epidemiology, population health, public health, or related field.
- Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience.
- Experience using healthcare/population health data to inform practice.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and teach an eight-week online graduate nursing course.
- Engage students through online learning strategies, discussion facilitation, and timely feedback.
- Evaluate student performance using established course assignments and rubrics.
- Support student achievement and professional development.
- Maintain regular communication with students and program leadership.
- Participate in faculty orientation and required program meetings as appropriate.
