About Write Edge: At Write Edge, we're on a mission to empower students with the essential skills of English and writing that extend far beyond the classroom. We're searching for like-minded educators to become part of our team as Specialist English and Writing Teachers of our Online branch.

As a Specialist English and Writing Teacher for the Online branch, you will:

• Teach online classes with small group sizes of up to 9 students, leveraging our meticulously crafted teaching materials.
• Collaborate on curriculum enhancements and contribute to special projects, fostering your creative spirit.
• Assist in creating quizzes or other engagement tools.
• Communicate closely with parents on students’ progress.
• Assist with lesson preparation for digital classrooms.
• Conduct meticulous marking of students' work online.
• Participate actively in all required trainings and huddles.

We're Seeking Educators Who:

• English Proficiency: Exhibit advanced English communication skills.
• Teaching and Nurturing: Possess a remarkable aptitude for teaching combined with a nurturing approach towards children. It’ll be a preferred advantage if you hold prior teaching experience.
• Strong Student Engagement Abilities: Have a fun and engaging teaching style, connect well with students, and can conduct a 2-hour lesson online with consistent enthusiasm and energy.
• Curriculum Familiarity: Have a deep familiarity with the Singaporean curriculum and assessment systems.
• Positive Attitude: Embrace a confident and positive learning attitude, while demonstrating responsibility and a strong work ethic.
• Flexibility: Are available to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
• Technical Knowledge: Are familiar with Zoom, Google suite (Drive, Classroom, Docs etc.), ClassDojo.
• Appropriate Online Teaching Set-up: Have a conducive environment to conduct online lessons (a well-lit room with a plain wall/background, a laptop with a working camera and microphone, and a strong, stable internet connection).

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum A2 in English Language for O Levels / A Levels or an equivalent examination.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience (online teaching experience will be an advantage).
• Master’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognised institution.

Location(s):
This role is fully Online.

Working hours:
Tuesday - Friday: 1pm - 10pm
Saturday: 9am-6pm
