Job summary

Vermont State University Online seeks an adjunct instructor to teach EDU-3445-SO01: Engineering Design in the Classroom for Spring 2027 (1/19/2027–3/7/2027). The 3-credit course is delivered 100% online using Canvas; Scheduled Hours Weekly: 40 hours for preparation, instruction, and student engagement.

The instructor will design weekly content, outcomes, readings, discussions and assessments in alignment with the course description, and adhere to VTSU Online Standards for accessible instruction.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related discipline is required.
• At least five years of experience teaching fully online, asynchronous courses is required.
• Experience with adult learning theory and Canvas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design weekly content including outcomes, readings, videos, discussions and assessments aligned with the course description.
• Follow VTSU Online Standards for course design, instructor presence, engagement and accessibility.
• Publish the full course at least one week before the start of the semester.
