West Texas A&M University invites applications for one, and possibly two tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor positions in the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership. These are full-time, 11-month appointments beginning January 1, 2027, or September 1, 2027, with a fully online degree program emphasizing rural education and a cohort model.

Weekly on-campus office hours in Canyon and/or Amarillo, Texas are required.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership or a closely related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in EC-12 or higher education leadership positions or related leadership contexts that may include business and finance.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
• Evidence of an active research agenda and scholarly productivity appropriate to rank
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to doctoral education
• Proven ability to effectively mentor doctoral students, particularly in empirical research
• Demonstrated strong instructional effectiveness in fully online learning environments

Responsabilités

• Teach doctoral-level courses in a fully online Ed.D. program
• Mentor and advise doctoral students, including supervision of empirical research
• Participate in the review of student progress including the qualifying examination
• Maintain an active research agenda with evidence of ongoing scholarly productivity
• Contribute to doctoral program development, assessment, and continuous improvement
• Participate in shared governance and program administration consistent with rank
• Engage in developing and implementing service opportunities consistent with the mission of the program, department, and college
• Weekly In-Person, On-campus (Canyon and/or Amarillo, Texas) office hours and engagement are required
