Description

Responsibilities

• Works with students to develop their academic skills both in general and in the online classroom environment.
• Provides assistance with study skills such as reading, note-taking, organization, and time management coaching, tutoring, mentoring, and academic technology support.
• Work Hours - Afternoons/Evenings and one Weekend day.
• Reliable high-speed internet required.
• Required to tutor live in Zoom.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a regionally accredited institution.

Experience:

• 1-2 years work experience within the past 5 years required.
• Coursework in Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing preferred.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of the OSI and TCP/IP Models.
• Knowledge of Network and Server Administration.
• Experience supporting distance learning students in higher education or other settings.
• Experience in a student-centric and hands-on learning environment.
• Ability to prioritize multiple, competing tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of both current practices and emerging trends in distance learning and related technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills.
