Job summary

OHVA, a K12 partner, seeks a High School CTE Engineering Teacher for online instruction (grades 9-12). The role focuses on delivering content, monitoring progress, and supporting students and learning coaches through virtual platforms. Travel for state testing and professional development is required.

Candidate must hold state CTE certification or CTE validation for high school, and meet NCLB HQT requirements, with ability to work remotely from home most days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Six months of student teaching experience.
• Meet requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher (NCLB).
• Proficient with Canvas or similar online platforms.

Responsibilities

• Takes ownership of student progress and attendance, setting high expectations.
• Prepares students for high-stakes tests.
• Conducts live synchronous teaching (min 15 hours/week).
• Asynchronously supports objectives via emails and learning plans.
• Collaborates with staff on instruction, resources and data.
