Job summary

University of West Alabama seeks an Adjunct Clinical Fieldwork Instructor to deliver high-quality, synchronous online clinical instruction and group supervision to graduate counseling students enrolled in Practicum and Internship courses on a part-time basis.

The instructor collaborates with program leadership to promote student readiness, professional development, and alignment with CACREP Standards and ethical guidelines within virtual learning environments.

Qualifications

• Earned master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Counselor Education, or a closely related field.
• Proof of licensure/certification such as LPC or appropriate school counseling credential.
• Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision is preferred; CACREP familiarity is expected.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate scheduled, synchronous online group supervision for Practicum, Internship I, and Internship II.
• Provide developmentally appropriate clinical supervision that strengthens counseling skills and ethical practice.
• Guide students in applying counseling theories, evidence-based interventions, and culturally responsive practices.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality in virtual learning environments.
• Integrate CACREP Standards and accreditation requirements into instruction and evaluation.
• Maintain records of student progress and supervise clinical documentation.
