Job summary

East Texas A&M University in Commerce, TX seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach three credit hours per 7-week term in online competency-based education. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours or a terminal degree and demonstrate strong communication skills.

Responsibilities include timely student support, evaluating coursework, and following the provided syllabus. This is a part-time, on-site role requiring some after-hours/weekend work.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field is required to teach undergraduate courses OR a terminal degree in the field to teach graduate courses.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach three semester credit hours per 7-week term in online competency-based education (CBE).
• Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments.
• Adhere to the standard course syllabus and assess grades as provided by the Associate Director of Academic Programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
