Abilene Christian University seeks a dedicated online instructor for the School Psychology Certificate Program. The role supports online students, provides feedback, and facilitates group work within Canvas.

You will manage assignments, hold regular virtual office hours, and ensure timely grading in alignment with program deadlines. The successful candidate will have a Master’s in School Psychology, Texas school experience, and a background in online higher education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Practice experience in Texas schools.
• Previous online teaching experience in higher education is strongly preferred.
• Computer literate in software and internet-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction, direction and support for students in the online classroom environment.
• Provide rich and timely feedback on student work, being both encouraging and constructive.
• Facilitate and manage class sizes up to 15 students.
• Place students in groups on Canvas for assignments/discussions.
• Provide timely answers to student inquiries regarding course material or academic matters.
• Hold a minimum of two office hours per week (virtual).
• Facilitate and grade all assignments in a timely manner (within 24–72 hours).
• Enter final course grades after consultation with lead faculty by CSP deadline.
• Alert lead faculty or Program Director to student issues (performance or policy violations).
• Comply with ACU policies and guidelines for faculty.
• Provide feedback to program director for program/course improvement.
• Participate in faculty meetings as able.
• Attend faculty training and credentialing updates as required.
• Other duties as assigned by lead faculty or Program Director.
