Job description

Adjuncts are essential to Liberty University’s mission of Training Champions for Christ. JOB SUMMARY

Liberty University’s School of Education doctoral team is seeking an Online Applied Research Methods Expert. Primary responsibilities include supervising doctoral candidates conducting methodologically sound research, reviewing capstone project manuscripts, providing detailed feedback specific to applied research methods, and maintaining communication with candidates to ensure compliance with the SOE capstone handbook and university policies. This posting is for remote doctoral chair positions.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Applicant must have an EdD or PhD in Education.
  • Degree must be from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Please attach your required Cover Letter and include the title of the position for which you are applying.
  • Pastoral reference letter is required, signed by the Pastor from your current church, dated 2023 or 2024, on the church letterhead.
  • Two professional reference letters are required.
  • Full doctrinal compatibility with Liberty University.
  • Must demonstrate expertise in qualitative research.
  • Superior interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills required.
  • Creative, innovative, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Canvas.
  • If you have a teaching license, please upload a copy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preference will be given to candidates with an established record of research evidenced by contributions to the field through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with capstone, dissertation, or thesis mentorship experience and experience teaching research methods using online platforms (e.g., Canvas).
  • Candidates must work at a pace that ensures timely progress of doctoral candidates toward degree completion.
