Qualifications
- Doctoral or master's degree in the teaching discipline (or master's with concentration) as specified for general education courses.
- For transfer-ready associate degree courses: doctoral/terminal degree or master's with concentration.
- For non-transfer associate degree courses: bachelor's degree or associate degree with demonstrated competencies.
- For graduate/post-baccalaureate coursework: earned doctorate/terminal degree in teaching or related discipline.
- Graduate teaching assistants: master's or 18 graduate hours with supervision and evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning to meet course outcomes.
- Design instructional plans and deliver instruction for online and on-campus courses.
- Utilize technology to support the student learning experience.
- Maintain records, submit grades, and enforce academic policies.
- Relate professional industry experience to learning and stay aware of trends.
- Participate in curriculum development and faculty development activities.
- Communicate with supervisors and colleagues to support programs.
