Job summary

TELUS Digital is seeking an Ads Assessor in the US to review online advertisements and rate their relevance to search terms. You will also provide feedback on language and cultural relevance to improve content quality and layout. This is a remote, independent contractor role designed for flexible hours.

You will help make internet search and advertising more relevant for millions of users by delivering accurate assessments and actionable feedback from home or a remote location.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with full professional proficiency in English.
• US resident for the last 3 consecutive years; familiar with US content.
• Active user of Gmail, Google+ and navigate with web browsers.
• Daily broadband, smartphone and PC with antivirus; Barcode Scanner app required.
• Explicit human evaluation role with live task rating.

Tasks

A Day in the Life of an Ads Assessor- US

In this role, you will be reviewing online advertisements by rating them on their relevance to the search terms used, as well as providing feedback on their language and cultural relevance in order to improve their content, quality, and layout

Your ultimate goal will be to contribute towards making internet search and online advertising more relevant and interesting for millions of users.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills with full professional proficiency in English
• Being a resident in the USA for the last 3 consecutive years and have familiarity with current and historical business, media, sport, news, social media, and cultural affairs in Country
• Active user of Gmail, Google+, and other forms of social media and experience in the use of web browsers to navigate and interact with a variety of content
• Daily access to a broadband internet connection, a smartphone (Android 4.1, iOS 8 or higher), and a personal computer with antivirus software to work on. You’ll also need a Barcode Scanner application to be installed on your smartphone to complete certain tasks.
• This is an explicit human evaluation role. Live task rating requires authentic human judgment, perspective, and evaluation

Qualification path

Assessment

You must complete an English language assessment, pass an open book qualification exam, and complete an ID verification in order to be successful for this role. These assessments will determine your suitability for the position.
