Key Responsibilities
- Rebuilding equipment
- Inspecting facility & equipment
- Preventive maintenance on facility and equipment
- Changing oil on equipment
- Inspecting equipment
- Monitoring equipment status (vibration, oils analysis, visual inspection, audible inspection, etc.)
- Executing receiving end of lock, tag and try
- Troubleshoot, repair, complete preventive maintenance, and rebuild equipment: Air compressors; air dryers; vacuum pumps; valves; filters; instrumentation; etc.
- Complete monthly checks of safety equipment.
- Replacing valves, actuators, instruments, piping, tubing, and small vessels
- Maintain areas in a clean condition including picking up/taking out trash, minor facility repairs, etc.
- Work flexible hours and schedule to achieve manufacturing objectives.
- Receiving of goods (including gas cylinder and dewar deliveries)
- Implement safe work practices and participate in proactive safety culture to ensure safety for the employee, public and environment.
- Adhere to company policies inclusive of the attendance policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment or mechanical/electrical support role
Preferred Qualifications
- AAS degree in applied science or relevant field
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Basic computer skills such as: opening, creating, and updating content in MS Word documents and Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Ability to complete tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with less policy and bureaucracy.
- Work indoors and outdoors around industrial and electrical equipment, with potential exposure to temperature extremes.
- Respond to visual, aural, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and perform visual inspections.
- Serve on the Emergency Response Team.
- Troubleshoot control systems using onboard diagnostics, multimeter, etc.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, using hands, talking, and hearing. Some sitting, climbing, stooping, crawling, or crouching. Frequent lifting/carrying/moving up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds. Manual transport of loads up to 75 lbs. Ability to adjust vision focus and distinguish colors.
