We're OneText, a YC-backed (Winter '23) startup in the Bay Area, and we're looking for a DevOps/DBA Lead Engineer.

About OneText

We're two former leads from the PayPal Checkout team (engineering & product). We recently secured pre-seed funding for our new startup launched earlier this year, and we're seeking an engineer to join us!

Our goal is simple: enable users to pay using their phone number, anywhere and everywhere, with zero friction. We have innovative solutions and already have brands using our platform.

What we do: payments, vaulting, automated conversations, merchant-facing dashboards, and more.

The most important skill: strong communication and quick learning. Experience with specific technologies is less critical than adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges.

Experience level: open to all. If you can code and are a good fit, we'll find a suitable role for you.

Expectations: as a startup recently accepted into YCombinator 2023, it will be busy, but we aim to foster an innovative, learning-oriented engineering culture with mentorship and growth opportunities.

Location: based in CA (Bay Area), open to remote candidates across the US. Non-US roles may be considered via contracting.

Salary: dependent on experience and skill, with equity options. We plan to tailor the role and compensation to the best candidate.
