Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
• Massachusetts DESE teacher license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct classes when the regular teacher is absent.
• Maintain attendance records and student files as needed.
• Carry out substitute lesson plans and adapt as required by the day’s needs.
• Review homework and classwork and provide feedback to students.
• Maintain classroom management and positive student behavior.
• Assist with general clerical tasks to support the teacher and class.
• Follow school policies and regular classroom routines.
