Job summary

Duke University Athletic Medicine Department seeks motivated fellows for 2026-2027 to provide comprehensive care to Duke student athletes. Coverage is primarily Olympic sports with opportunities for other sports at events.

This one-year educational fellowship includes an educational curriculum and hands-on clinical training. The position offers paid hourly wages (no benefits), licensure and NATA fees, liability insurance, and opportunities to pursue additional continuing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field required.
• NATABOC certification required by start date.
• Eligibility to apply for NC licensure by start date.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; commitment to learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist Athletic Medicine Staff and Team Physicians in medical care for Duke student athletes.
• Supervise Athletic Training Students and student workers as delegated.
• Follow an educational curriculum with seminars, case studies, and journal clubs.
• Support administrative tasks and clinical training under supervision.
