Job summary

Duke University Athletic Medicine Department offers a Certified Athletic Training Fellow position for the 2026-2027 academic year. Four Fellowships are available, mainly covering Olympic Sports, with other events based on candidate interest.

This one-year educational and professional development opportunity advances clinical and leadership skills in sports medicine. The position provides an hourly pay, state licensure fees, NATA membership fees, liability insurance, and access to continuing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in appropriate area or Master's degree is required.
• NATABOC certification is required by start date.
• Ability to pursue NC state licensure by start date.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with commitment to learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist and collaborate with Athletic Medicine Staff and Duke Team Physicians to deliver medical care to Duke student athletes.
• Participate in an educational curriculum with weekly seminars, case studies, and journals; observe physicians and allied health professionals.
