Job summary
Sunbelt in Boston is seeking a dedicated one-to-one nurse to support a student at Beverly School for the Deaf during the 2026-2027 school year. The nurse will start each morning at the student’s home, accompany her on the bus, and provide the same support on the return trip.
The role requires an active Massachusetts LPN or RN license, at least one year of school or pediatric nursing, and expertise in diabetes management for children.
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts LPN or RN license.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in school or pediatric settings.
- Diabetes management expertise for children.
- Ability to communicate with deaf students, families, and school staff.
- Organized, detail-oriented, reliable; able to manage care independently.
- Full-time schedule ASAP through June 18, 2027, Monday–Friday, 7:45am–2:55pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and diabetes management for an individual student.
- Support the student during transportation to and from school.
- Monitor and respond to medical needs throughout the school day.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers for consistent and thorough support.
- Maintain clear documentation of care and medication administration.
