Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time One to One Observer for the Mount Holly location to provide continuous one-to-one patient monitoring during the night shift. This role emphasizes safety, calm interaction, and adherence to professional ethics in a hospital setting.

The observer will communicate patient status changes to the RN, assist with team orientation, and perform other duties as assigned to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of an Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of the assigned patient, maintaining a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm setting.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient status to the RN and responds appropriately.

Position Summary

The One to One Observer provides constant, one-to-one observation of a patient, maintains a safe environment, and communicates with the healthcare team, patients, and/or their family or significant other(s). The role supports high standards of professional ethics.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Rate: $17.30 – $20.67. The actual salary/rate will vary based on experience and internal equity.
