Job summary

Swansea University is seeking a Maths and Stats Tutor (zero hours) to provide drop-in and booked tutoring sessions to students. The role supports learning in maths and statistics across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with sessions held on Singleton or Bay Campus and online as needed.

Current UG or PG students in mathematics or related fields are welcome to apply. Training will be provided to ensure policy compliance and effective student support.

Qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate or postgraduate student at Swansea University.
• Studying mathematics, statistics or a degree with a high maths/stats content.
• Experience delivering tutoring to students is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver maths and statistics one-to-one support sessions (on campus or online).
• Inform students about online resources on Canvas and guide usage of materials.
• Utilise online resources in support sessions.
• Signpost students to appropriate campus support services.
• Assist in publicity for drop-in sessions and online resources.
• Assist in administration of registration and feedback documents.
• Ensure university policies are followed; training will be provided.
• Attend meetings and training sessions.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the line-manager.
