Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher from a GaPSC-accepted institution.
• Two years of college coursework beyond the remedial level with grade C or better.
• Pass GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and have high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with school age children desirable.
• Bilingual or bicultural experience required for certain positions.
• Eligibility for GaPSC Paraprofessional License upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one academic support to exceptional education students.
• Assist with materials prep, bulletin boards, grading, and lesson follow-through.
• Support in various settings (resource, self-contained, regular classrooms).
• Assist with routine record keeping and school-wide supervision.
