Job summary

OrthoNC is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation team in North Carolina. You will work closely with licensed physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons, and physician assistants to deliver individualized care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation principles and movement.
• Ability to implement treatment plans safely under supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Develop positive relationships with patients and team members.
• Proficient with electronic medical records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled PT interventions under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Implement individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, and manual therapy as appropriate.
• Monitor patient response and report progress to supervising PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and rehab expectations.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with PTs, surgeons, and PAs to coordinate care.
• Help patients achieve measurable functional improvements.
• Maintain a safe, clean treatment environment.
• Demonstrate professionalism and dependability in interactions.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education.
• Support standards for patient satisfaction and productivity.
